We are really looking forward to welcoming our friends at Pen Y Bont Triathlon Club on Saturday 10th of June.
The plan is to have two rides going out simultaneously:
One shorter ride (37K) at a slowish pace (<20km/hr) with lots of photo opportunities and a coffee stop.
One longer ride (68K) at a moderate pace (>20km/hr) with more climbing and a coffee stop.
Both rides are detailed below.
Choose whichever ride you fancy on the day.
We will accomodate everyone; no one will be dropped; all abilities welcome. Do not feel intimidated!
Start together at 9:30am from Brecon Leisure Centre car park (LD3 9SR).
Ample free parking and free use of showers and changing facilities post ride.
We should all make it back to the Leisure Centre by 2pm.
There is then the option of a short brick run (5K) and/or open water swim in the river Usk.
If some folks just want to swim, or just want to run - that's fine.
If you just want a rest, coffee and cake - that's fine too.
There are numerous places to eat in Brecon. The nearest to the Leisure Centre is Hills-Brecon.

Optional Open Water Swim - River Usk at Brecon Promenade
We swim at Brecon Promenade (LD3 9AY). There is a large car park (pay and display) and cafe.
The swim is around 1.2K up stream, then back down. You can generally stand up in the river if you need a breather or get into difficulty.
It really is a lovely place to swim.
